UPDATE - Baseball Game
Due to the rain and our wet field conditions, the baseball game for this afternoon has been flipped with Union Grove. Our LC baseball team will now travel to Union Grove this evening. The first pitch will happen at 7:00 PM tonight! The next time we are scheduled to play Union Grove, they will come here. Good luck to our guys in their travels.
1. We have two LC high school students who have qualified for the regional powerlifting meet. That regional meet will take place this evening at Malakoff high school. We wish good luck to Darren Brown and Jonathon Peery.
2. Our HS baseball team will be hosting a district game this afternoon against Union Grove. First pitch will be at 4:00. We ask everyone who plans to attend to please wear a mask. We wish good luck to our baseball team this afternoon.
Our LC baseball team was scheduled to host a game here this afternoon against Carlisle. Due to our wet field conditions still, the game has been moved to Carlisle. The first pitch will start at 7:00 PM. If you plan to go, please wear a mask. We wish good luck to our baseball team in their travels!
Last week we had a handful of LC students participate in the Rusk County Youth Project Show in Henderson. Carson Ford and Wyatt Ford made the sale with their roasters and broilers. Wyatt also made the sale with his wildlife game hanger. Blane, Bailea, and Brynlea Reeves participated in the creative arts projects. Blane received a blue ribbon for his project; Brynlea received rosettes for her color picture art; Bailea took home the Reserve Grand Champion (2nd place) with her cedar 3D wolf birdhouse. Asa Cook, Kristen Shaw received blue ribbons for their shop project while Joey Peery received a red ribbon for his shop project. We are also proud to say that Bailea Reeves took home the Grand Champion Overall (1st place) for her shop project with her buck board wagon planter. She was competing against ALL the schools in Rusk County.
Congratulations to all of our participants this year. You represented Leverett's Chapel very well. Thank you to Mr. Tidwell for all his hard work getting his students ready this year for the show.
